Hello My Friend,
Have you considered lately how powerful your imagination is? Do you realize that the things you imagine daily…they actually happen, eventually?
Think about it…what are some of the most recurring scripts, dreams and visions rolling through your mind each day? Do you dwell on what you are afraid of tackling or see yourself failing at things? Do you remember past hurts or scenarios that you wish you could do a different way? Are you imagining success or failure? Be honest in your reflection, and if you never thought about what you think about, think about it now.
On a scale of 1 – 10 how positive (or negative) have your thoughts, conversations, visions and scripts been? Do they build you up or bring you down? Do you see a connection between where you spend your time and the condition of your life?
Research shows…with no conflicting data or results, that our thoughts are things; they have actual physical and electrochemical presence in our brains and nervous systems. What we think we become. We have the power with our imagination, feelings and thoughts to create the life of our choice. The keys are consistency, alignment and power; imagine daily, align what you imagine with your deeply held beliefs and imagine with power behind your visions. See it clearly, vividly and boldly in your mind as if it was completely and totally your reality.
With that in mind, I urge you to honestly and objectively reflect on what you think and imagine each day. If it is not serving you well, change it.
Here are 7 powerful scenarios to imagine daily: (Do as often as you can, with a minimum 5 minutes devoted to each scenario every day)
- Imagine your ideal work – see yourself doing the work of your heart and choice; see the details and feel the joy.
- Imagine your ideal way to spend your day – your perfect day. Imagine the flow of the day from morning to evening; what do you do, with whom and where? If it’s a fun day, get into specific details on the scenery and activities, the laughter, peace or solitude. If it’s about the people or places…have the conversations and see the sights…see them clearly as if you are actually in that place with those/that people. If it’s about your work or serving others, see their faces, smiles and gratitude. Experience your perfect day in every way possible.
- See yourself as the most “perfect” friend, Mom/Dad if you have children, spouse or significant other, aunt/uncle, brother or sister, team player, etc,…how would you like to be in relationship with your loved ones, colleagues or team members? How would you like to react to things? What would you like to have the ability to ignore or respond to? How affectionate would you like to be but a lack of courage gets in the way? Just imagine you being exactly as you would like to be, in a world where our pasts, pains and fears don’t get in the way.
- What does your ideal world look and feel like to you…your immediate community, your city, nation and the world at large? What major life issues and challenges are resolved in your picture of peace? Imagine this world with all the details filled in. How are others responding to this ideal world? What challenges are you facing to have it last? See the world as you would like it to be and see yourself being responsible for bringing it to life.
- See yourself taking the actual steps to get the things done that are on your list – daily, weekly or your list for the year. (Take note of your level of enjoyment as you imagine these action steps being taken; if the things on your ‘to do’ list are not bringing joy, find out why and either change what you are doing or how you feel about it)
- Think of the one habit you have that you KNOW keeps you from reaching your potential…Imagine that bad habit gone, conquered and having no more power over your life. See your life with a new powerful habit in place of the old and imagine the life you would live AND how others will be responding to the “new” you.
- Imagine perfect peace – for yourself. See yourself at perfect peace regardless of what is happening around you. As a matter of fact add some challenges to your imagination and see you smiling with a deep peace right through it all. Imagine your reactions and the peace that follows. Feel the feeling of peace and inner joy that comes from being completely in charge of you! 🙂
Yesterday I sent you a music video Herbie Hancock’s version of the classic “Imagine”…the video didn’t transmit for some unresolved technical reason so here is the link – ENJOY! ♫♫♫ http://bit.ly/1E08wm3
Imagine the most beautiful and lofty desires of your heart; imagine them until you are moved to action and they will manifest. We can use our imagination to turn our brain/nervous system into a success or failure machine; it is simply our choice.
Wishing you an abundance of love, imagination and action,
~♥~
