These wise and wonderful quotes below have really blessed me over the years. Sometimes a thought or quote can really be EXACTLY what is needed to trigger personal insight and life-changing revelations.
Our 21-day journey is all about accountability when you get right down to it. Without a high level of personal accountability, 21 days of action and ‘extreme achievement’ is just not possible.
So here’s what I’d like you to do today… [this is of course in addition to the 3 daily exercises – daily action on your goal, daily forgiveness and imagination/relaxation exercise – see yesterday’s post for more information]
- First, read these quotes and enjoy some sweet reflection on what being truly accountable is all about
- Then, pick one that speaks the most to you at this moment. If nothing here powerfully resonates with you then alter one of them to make it “perfect.”
- Place that chosen or edited quote on a document (or artistically design by hand) and choose a big bold and beautiful font for it. Print it and display it for the duration of our journey.
Be inspired by what you find inspiring: The idea is to create the environment with wise guidance (your own or others’) that will lead to your success. You take charge and do what is necessary to impact your mind, your heart and your life. And please share what inspires you with others – that’s a sure way to grow.
So here they are – some of my favorite picks of quotes on SUCCESS & ACCOUNTABILITY:
1) “Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go.“ William Feather
2) “Thinking well is wise; planning well, wiser; doing well wisest and best of all.” Persian Proverb
3) “A duty dodged is like a debt unpaid; it is only deferred, and we must come back and settle the account at last.“ Joseph Fort Newton
4) “It is easy to dodge our responsibilities, but we cannot dodge the consequences of dodging our responsibilities.“ Sir Josiah Stamp
5) “God does not want us to do extraordinary things; He wants us to do ordinary things extraordinarily well.“ Bishop Gore
6) “It is not only what we do, but also what we do not do, for which we are accountable.“- Moliere
7) “Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes real happiness. It is not obtained through self-gratification, but through fidelity to a worthy purpose.“ Helen Keller
8) “Every person’s work, whether it be literature or music or pictures or architecture or anything else, is always a portrait of that person.” Samuel Butler
9) “It is easier to fight for one’s principles than to live up to them.“ Alfred Adler
10) “Never promise more than you can perform.“- Publilius Syrus
11) “I am not bound to win
but I am bound to be true;
I am not bound to succeed
but am bound to live up
to what light I have.” Abraham Lincoln
12) “It is easy to dodge our responsibilities, but we cannot dodge the consequences of dodging our responsibilities.“ Sir Josiah Stamp
13) “Accountability breeds response-ability.” Stephen R. Covey
14) “Hell begins on the day when God grants us a clear vision of all that we might have achieved, of all the gifts which we have wasted, of all that we might have done which we did not do.” Gian Carlo Menotti
15) “No snowflake in an avalanche ever feels responsible.” George Burns
16) “I am responsible. Although I may not be able to prevent the worst from happening, I am responsible for my attitude toward the inevitable misfortunes that darken life. Bad things do happen; how I respond to them defines my character and the quality of my life. I can choose to sit in perpetual sadness, immobilized by the gravity of my loss, or I can choose to rise from the pain and treasure the most precious gift I have – life itself.” Walter Anderson
17) “If you can dream it, you can do it.” Walt Disney
I’m going with #10 for today…and revising my desire — thank goodness I didn’t ‘promise’ – to get these daily messages out before 9 a.m. (EST. ) Though I will still be trying for it, I will make 11 a.m. my new official target. Second runner up for me is #15 from comedic icon George Burns. Every single one of us is part of a larger reality and being accountable begins with owning that responsibility. Then of course #17 is just the TRUTH! 🙂 OK, I can go on about every one, so let me stop.
Have a magnificent day wonderful people. Please remember to do your daily exercises — brief messages with short exercises will be sent this holiday weekend.
If you are taking a complete break from work and daily action steps this holiday weekend – (in the US,) at least still use your powerful imagination – even if for a few minutes and visualize your extreme achievements. Daily forgiveness/accountability and relaxation exercises should be done.
Wishing you an abundance of peace, joy and light,
♥~
P.S. This message is a part of the 21 Days of Action & Accountability – a free event. Day 1 was Thursday May 19th and previous preparation exercises can be found here.

Ah yes — that is EXCELLENT! ANT you are a wise one and I appreciate you sharing and caring. “I AM RESPONSIBLE” is something we should all be that passionate about! Can you just imagine how quickly the problems of the world would be HANDLED!! wow.
I like “No snowflake in an avalanche ever feels responsible.” I believe it truly speaks to the small, but significant role we all play in the unfolding of events.
I Love that one too. Exactly — we each have a vital role to play and people need to stop playing small! Thanks CK. 🙂
