Hello!
Love in Action IS love… at its highest and best; so let’s get into action! Today is Day 1 of our journey of love. [Link to Facebook event is here]
Let us begin at the beginning. Love, to have any real and lasting meaning in our life has to find a home in our own soul.
So today, the first day of our journey…let us put love in action in our own hearts.
For those who are experienced in the art of self-love I encourage you to do today’s exercises with the same vigor as you would if you were just beginning to love yourself. Love is never a waste.
A quick word on our process: We will put love in action each day in all areas of our life – the Five Vital Venues of Life, which are self, home, relationships, work and community and/or place of worship. We’ll do this with simple and fun exercises.
Here are a few tips to maximize the benefits of our spreading love:
- Have a personal goal – what would you like to achieve on this journey?
- Begin with an intention to impact the world – a powerful intention no matter how localized (even if the “world” you intend to impact is one or two other people, let your intention be bold.)
- Keep a journal of your activities, insights and emotions during the process.
- Remain “on the field” and not on the sidelines – the more you play full out the greater the rewards; Interact on the event wall if you are on Facebook, do the daily activities, engage all those around you with an intention of spreading love, etc.
- Begin each day with a few moments dedicated to repeating your specific intentions (for the 21-day journey and for the day ahead of you) and visualizing your day of love bringing joy to others.
- Team up with another participant or a friend and form an accountability relationship – share goals and intentions, feedback and motivation for each other. You will have more fun and get more done with some accountability, I assure you! 🙂
- Have as much fun as you can stand!
So now let’s dive into some self-love fun; Do as many of these today as you can:
1) Say these affirmations as often as you can today – I am lovable; I am divinely created; I am here to spread love; I am human so I make mistakes; I forgive myself for all my mistakes, always
2) See your reflection and blow a kiss
3) Have a private laugh fest with yourself about some funny thing you’ve done in the past
4) Write a list of those things you’d like to do for yourself during the month of February – a course you’d like to sign up for? A massage? Date with yourself to do something special? More frequent exercising? Less junk food? Physical exam? More time spent on spiritual development? A fast…from anything you think you must have? These are just some ideas.
5) Get a physical symbol of your love for yourself to have throughout this journey. It can be anything that has meaning to you or you give meaning to…a beautiful stone, a small plant, a charm or trinket, a card…anything found or purchased that is symbolic of your love.
Have a wonderful time today, smile often and spread love wherever you go.
Feel free to invite others – let us especially reach out to our friends in other countries. Love is the only answer to our trials and challenges on the personal and international fronts. There is no “problem” too large to solve.
Sending you a boatload of love and wishing you joy, joy, joy,
God bless you.
♥~
P.S.
The first message sent to the FB group ( now 80 people) is below:
Hi there — we have 30 people signed up so far! That’s wonderful!! I actually have not gotten around to doing invites as yet either.
PLEASE DO THIS:
Go to the event wall and just post your country – where you currently live (you can add where you were born if you like) and this way we will know how to proceed.Remember the vision is to have 21 days of Love in Action…around the world by having reprensentatives involved in the daily activities…
THEN…based on what you see missing on the wall, please reach out to at least one person from a country not represented and get them on board.
How’s that? Have fun!
A qucik exercise: Think of where you’d like to see more love in your life:
- self-love?
- love at home?
- at work or school?
- in a specific relationship?
- in your community or at your place of worship?
Pick a venue and then think of creative ways to make it happen. Jot down some thoughts.
Don’t forget, post your country and then invite someone from a different country – not yet represented.
With Love,
Julette
