Hello,
“Spirit instructs my mind and my mind instructs my body.” This is how we are constructed and it’s one of my favorite affirmations. Dr. Therman Evans is credited with bringing that phrase to life for me recently.
We are spiritual beings in a physical body. Our highest and greatest power comes not from our information and intellect but instead from our revelations, from truth and from our love walk.
I believe we know this – we talk about what really matters in life as if we truly believe that matters of love and truth are much more important than things of possession, title, talent, intellect and knowledge. We have miles of bookshelves devoted to this belief.
I believe we generally accept this as a truth. BUT YET, what do we pine after? Where do we put our focus and attention? Our society and most of the individuals in it seem to hold in highest esteem all things physical and mental. Our actions seem to contradict what we say we know and believe. Our focus on personal gain, status and celebrity is telling.
I’m suggesting to you brave and wonderful souls of 21-Day Detox Challenge: Spirit, Mind & Body, that for the remainder of this challenge (and henceforth) we reinforce our commitment to walk the talk of “Spirit instructs my mind and my mind instructs my body.”
Let us treat with the highest priority all those challenges (of our 21 challenges) that are about growing our spirit. This obviously does not mean the others are unimportant because the entire challenge is based on the fact that we must address our self-development in a whole and integrated fashion. We can’t ignore any aspect of our whole self.
But we must be consistent with the flow of the universe and spiritual law and do first things first.
Our daily challenges that deal specifically with detoxing our spiritual life are:
#1 Commitment
#2 Speaking Intention – OUT LOUD
#3 Awareness
#3A Speaking empowering affirmations and intentions
#4C Laugh daily
#5 Keeping promise – honoring your word
#6 Expressing your emotions – for healing
#7 Accountability
#12A Hug a day
#12B Kindness – daily
#13 Read spiritually edifying material
#14 Being still
#15 Forgive
#16 Gratitude
#17 Positive talk only
#18 Uplifting music only and daily
#19 Day of Silence
#20 Day of no technology
#21 Obedience – do all as prescribed
The other challenges not listed here are not insignificant. They are as important and will have their best impact when they are positioned appropriately.
Let us do what we know, walk what we talk and allow our real and lasting power to flow from the source. First things should always be first if we want things to work the way they are designed to work.
Let’s talk to each other; share the excitement of daily success and the challenges I’m sure we all can relate to.
Wishing you an ABUNDANT supply of strength and resolve,
♥~
