Hola Friend!
This is exciting! 21 Days of MASSIVE GRATITUDE…. AND, NO Complaining!
Doing this, BEing this, WILL expand your universe. Let’s do this together…SO much easier to do a challenging thing as a group. And my word is it challenging to be consistently grateful and without complaints!
There is so much we can be complaining about today… SO MUCH… and that is precisely the challenge, to find a way to express feedback on something that is very important without launching into negativity. We will tend to work out our internal dramas and get to a solution-mining mentality as quickly as possible. Essentially let us be driven by LOVE, not fear. Complaining is the doorway to poverty.
Likewise, there is SO MUCH to be grateful for and the more we realize this, the more we will find and create, to be grateful for! Gratitude is the doorway to abundance.
So, let’s do this…
21 days of no complaining – if we have some constructive feedback to give, give it without negativity
21 days of no negative self-talk – I know, I know… THAT is a massive challenge. Seriously how often in a day do you tell yourself how stupid you are??? Great for you if you don’t go that far but chances are you can be more affirming and self-encouraging!
21 days of finding the POSITIVE in everything… tough, I know but doable. In every situation, find something to use as you move forward.
21 days of encouraging friends, family, colleagues and even strangers – Just find a way… (great daily tips will be provided)
21 days of saying THANK YOU for everything – the obviously good and the hidden blessings as well – yes, being grateful even for the challenges. When we accept a challenging situation as what the reality is in front of us WITHOUT wasting energy on moaning and groaning about it, we free up energy and resources to get busy dealing with it and we can then bring about some real change.
A commitment to compliments expands our universe. We are so comfortable being negative or at least, ‘not positive’ that we hardly notice the self-sabotaging thoughts and discouraging comments that flow out of our mouths on a regular basis… or linger in our thoughts and emotions without us even being aware of them.
This 21 day challenge will bring tremendous awareness. Just by attempting to be more positive, you will notice the negative tendencies and have more power over your own thoughts and emotions.
It is TRANSFORMATIONAL! You will be more aware and EMPOWERED!
The joy it brings to be kind and thoughtful and loving in a deliberate and intentional way, is just magnificent. Just the effort, even before the results will bring you joy.
Here’s what to do:
1. Be grateful each day for your blessings – find them if you don’t see them at first
2. Find a way to turn challenges into blessings – find something to learn, create a solution, just find a way to be grateful (Thought: sometimes dealing with one challenge keeps us away from a bigger and more traumatizing one…)
3. Refrain from negative comments: speak positive and think positively about yourself, family, friends, neighbors and others.
4. Complain about nothing
5. Be complimentary several times a day – in ways that might first be uncomfortable
6. Look for what is good in everything.
7. Ask God for a transformation (Romans 12:1-2)
With sustained and focused effort for 21 days straight we are able to create the beginning of a new habit…the research does show this. Experience as well. We’ve done several of these 21 day – ‘create a new habit events’ here on Facebook and the results have been amazing. The Facebook page for this event is here
Of course it all depends on how diligently you participate. It has to be something you deeply connect to and want for yourself. A new habit won’t automatically kick in if you are DOing but not BEing, if you are taking action but not really deeply committed and certainly not if you are on and off with your involvement.
Intense commitment and intention are necessary.
Our goal is not simply to create a habit of gratitude and no complaining in 21 days. The goal is also to remain aware and maintain the intention to be grateful and harbor no negative thoughts, and to give compliments for 21 days straight.
If this takes longer for some or even many people, that’s OK. We’re after 100% effort, not perfect results. It’s in the mis-takes that much insights and revelations will be buried and found.
So bring on the slips and falls, that’s how we will learn and grow over the 21 days we spend together.
You can do this from any place in the world and at any point of your life. We begin – officially, on Sunday November 30th.
Join us – I promise you, you will be transformed! 🙂
I’ll be sending simple exercises to you…please share your insights, wins and encouragement participants will be enriched by your experience.
Wishing you an abundance of love, peace and gratitude,
~♥~
