Hello My Friend!
My message to you today:
Embrace the whole of you – the good, the bad and the ugly!
Last weekend I played Jezebel at Eddy Farm Retreat & Conference Center’s Women’s Conference.
Let me tell you, I enjoyed relating to this infamous woman of the Bible! So much so, I had to reflect on why this part was so much fun…she was after all quite an evil heifer! 🙂
The answers and insights were liberating!
It might feel a bit squeamish to face up to your mistakes and dark periods of your life and even present thoughts, but it is necessary.
When I thought about the Jezebel in me, the less than altruistic thoughts I’ve had and actions I’ve taken over the years…and was STILL able to love who I am, without hesitation, it was freeing. It caused some discomfort at first, for sure, but it was well worth the struggle.
Until we thoroughly accept our mistakes, our past, and our present shortcomings, we will not be able to live fully with integrity and in the present moment: We will miss out on the depth of our inner power and God’s promises for our life.
Take these 3 steps:1. Acknowledge the WHOLE — Love ALL of your self. Unconditionally. Bask in the fullness of your beauty – the highlights and the low lights. This is how God loves you.2. Accountability is key — Be completely accountable for who you are – the total and complete package; the good, the bad and the ugly.3. Accept what is — Before we can change anything about our self, we have to accept what “is” and love our whole self for who we are in this very moment. Complete power exists only in this moment of time so accepting it is essential.
NO ONE is perfect: Period. But EVERYONE is worthy of unconditional love.
Embrace all of who you are, beautiful person; then get busy becoming the very best you can be. Trying to do the latter first will simply not work.
And you know what else… if you don’t embrace all of you, you won’t be able to embrace all of me! 🙂
Wishing you an abundance of love, joy and peace,
~♥~
