HELLO……….. so we have reached our “finish” line! God knows we never can ‘finish’ a kindness journey but you know what I mean! 🙂
21 days straight of doing conscious and also spontaneous acts of kindness has built your kindness habit and mindset.
If kindness were a muscle – a spiritual muscle, you have taken it from what it was to something bigger and harder.
It’s useful to think of our spiritual and emotional habits as muscles to grow. The intangible is sometimes had to measure and develop so use whatever method works to focus on these essential habits.
Yesterday I asked you to do a bit do an assessment…hopefully you were able to do that. Without some assessing and accountability, we can easily get stuck in a routine of sameness.
Same levels of thoughts and emotions tend to lead to same levels actions and behaviors. Self-assessing and finding creative ways to be accountable will keep you growing and expanding.
Today in the US and some other countries, St Valentine’s Day is celebrated: A day dedicated to love and expressing love to others.
What is kindness if not love in action? So as you conclude your journey with us, I urge you to knock it up a few notches and show love wherever and however you can today.
Find ways to say “I love you,” • “I appreciate you,” • “I am grateful for you in my life,” • ” I forgive you,” • “You are so special to me,” • “The world is better for you in it,” • “How can I help you?” • “I am here for you,” • ” I treasure our moments together,” • “I’m listening, please tell me…,” • “You are such a wonderful person,” • “Thank you for being on my team,” • ” Thank you,” • “Thank you for loving me,” • “Thank God for you,” • “Our family or department or ministry or team is so much better because of you, thank you,” etc, etc, etc… I KNOW you have many more statements of love and kindness you can add to this list.
Find ways to share these sentiments in deed and in words…creative ways; leave notes, messages, create signs, write on balloons, paint a wall, send a plant, write in the snow, use a lawn sign, create flash cards, give time off, make/set a date for listening, send a telegram, post a tweet, pack a lunch, cook a meal, make a donation, etc, etc… However you can, say it with love.
I challenge you today as you wrap up this exercise, to go ALL out and do as much as you can to celebrate love and kindness in your life. To celebrate the people in your life – even the ones you like the least or know the least; Just spread the healing power of kindness.
Love is powerful and can heal all things. We just need to believe it and act from that belief.
Wishing you an abundance of all that is good and wonderful in our world – love, light, peace and joy,
Love,
♥~
