Hello My Friend,
Mistakes are surely the stepping stones to growth, success and learning. But sadly not always and not for everyone.
Here’s what some folks do when they know they’ve made a mistake, offended someone or violated their commitment to doing what’s loving and right:
*They go silent
*They blame others
*They pray to God (maybe) but don’t apologize to the offended
*They overcompensate with bravado in front of others
*They lash out at the offended personally or by damaging their reputation
*They do not grow or learn from the mistake
Here’s what humble and loving people do when they’ve made a mistake, offended someone or violated their commitment to doing what’s loving and right:
1. They are accountable and apologize – quickly
2. They pray to God to do better
3. They forgive themselves
4. They do and be better
Sad how much deflection, denial and drama people create when they lie to themselves about what they did. So much time and life wasted.
If you do something wrong or make a mistake – just like we tell our children, own it, say sorry and move it along.
Now doing the same thing again and again and saying sorry is NOT a good use of this forgiveness and apology process. It’s spiritually abusive. There will be no growth there. Sincerity is essential.
But pride and ego gets in the way and people remain stuck in their drama. They deny themselves the peace and joy of a pure heart.
Sending you love ♥♥♥~ today is a good day to apologize, forgive and transform your life! How else will 2015 be your BEST YEAR EVER? 🙂
Wishing you an abundance of love, light and joy,
∞♥∞
